A traffic stop Dec. 19 on North Dupont Boulevard resulted in the arrest of a pair, according to a press release from the Milford Police Department.

An officer on patrol on North Dupont Boulevard observed a vehicle being operated by a man who matched the description of a man who was wanted and had suspended license. A subsequent stop of the vehicle led to further investigation and a search that located marijuana, crack cocaine and heroin.

Richard H. White, 29, of Greenwood, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, failure to have required insurance, possession of marijuana and failure to signal.

White was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court No. 2, where bail was set at $3,700 unsecured. White was released and is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on Feb. 7, 2018, for an arraignment.

A passenger in the vehicle was taken into custody after it was learned she was wanted by the Kent County Family Court. Rusheena R. Lewis, 34, of Milford, was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court No. 2 and was released with a later date to appear at the Kent County Family Court.
