Veterans and active duty military will be honored at two Dover restaurants Nov. 11
Two Dover-area restaurants will be offering free meals to military veterans and active duty personnel Veterans Day, Saturday, Nov. 11.
The Texas Roadhouse will offer a free lunch event to honor the men and women of the nation’s armed forces.
All veterans including active retired or former United States military can choose one of 10 entrees, including a six-ounce sirloin and two made-from-scratch sides plus a choice of any Coca-Cola product, iced tea or coffee during lunch.
Guests must show proof of service such as military or VA card, or discharge papers.
The lunch will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The restaurant at 4568 S. Dupont Highway, Camden, is one of four in Delaware making the offer. The others include Bear, Middletown, and Seaford.
Mission BBQ in Dover will salute veterans and active duty military personnel from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11.
The restaurant will offer free sandwiches; cake also will be offered as long as the supply lasts.
A live singing of the National Anthem will take place at noon.
