Victim hit in the head multiple times.
UPDATE: Georgetown Police Department Detectives have identified and arrested a woman in connection with multiple robberies that occurred on Nov. 1.
The first incident occurred at about 1:20 p.m., when the suspect approached a female victim who was sitting in her vehicle in a private parking lot, just south of the intersection of East Market and Race Streets. The suspect placed a gun to the victim’s head and demanded that she hand over her belongings before reaching inside the vehicle and grabbing the victim's purse. The suspect then struck the victim in the back of the head with the gun several times before fleeing on foot.
At about 3:30 p.m., the Millsboro Police Department was dispatched to the parking lot of BJ’s Wholesale Club for a robbery complaint. Officers contacted the victim, who reported that she was also sitting in her vehicle when a female suspect approached the car. When the suspect grabbed her purse, the victim held onto it, but the suspect was able to get it free and flee in a dark-colored SUV.
Georgetown detectives were able to identify 23-year-old An’Deshia B. Satchell, of Milton, as the suspect in both robberies. On Friday, Nov. 3, Satchell was taken into custody without incident and charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and related crimes and was committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in lieu of $117,000 secured bail.
The Georgetown Police Department is attempting to identify a suspect involved in a robbery Wednesday, Nov. 2.
Around 1:20 p.m., the victim was sitting in her vehicle in a private parking lot, just south of the intersection of East Market Street and Race Street, when her door was opened and a gun placed to her head. The suspect demanded the victim hand over her belongings before reaching inside the vehicle and grabbed her purse. The suspect then struck the back of the victim's head with a gun multiple times before running toward East Market Street.
Further investigation revealed video surveillance footage of the suspect operating a dark-colored GMC Yukon. Convenience store video was also collected, which provided images of the suspect, who was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with “Cape Vikings” on the front and blue sweatpants. The suspect also dropped their keys during the robbery, which were reportedly attached to an Eagles lanyard.
