Shantae Cannon, 32, of Bridgeville, is wanted for first-degree assault and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.

UPDATE: The Delaware State Police Major Crimes Unit has arrested a woman in connection with a domestic-related assault.

The incident occurred on Saturday, Oct. 28, at around 11:40 a.m. in the 25000 block of Haven Drive in Seaford. The suspect, 32-year-old Shantae Cannon of Bridgeville, engaged in a verbal altercation with a 38-year-old Seaford man before stabbing his middle torso area with a butcher knife. The victim was transported to an area hospital by a personal vehicle, where he was admitted with non-life threatening injuries.

Cannon turned herself in at Troop 4 in Georgetown on Tuesday, Oct. 31, and was charged with first-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. She was committed to Baylor Women's Correctional Institute on $20,000 secured bond.
