“Dealing with Challenging People: From the Passive Aggressive to the Emotionally Abusive” will be the topic of Delaware Hospice’s Lunch Bunch Lecture with Judy Pierson, set for noon Oct. 13 at Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford.
This workshop will focus on two types of people. Passive-aggressive people are those who express their hostility indirectly through sarcasm, blame, procrastination, sullenness, stubbornness or efforts to undermine things. Emotionally abusive people put others down, use words to intimidate, mock and insult others, ignore or exclude others and deny they are being abusive, instead blaming their victims. This workshop will explore how to recognize and manage these two personality types.
Lunch is set for noon to 12:30 p.m., with the presentation from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Lunch is $5 per person; presentation is free of charge. Registration is required by Oct. 12 by calling 746-4503 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
