St. John’s Oktoberfest is set to begin at 6 p.m. Sept. 22 and at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 23 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave., Milford.

The festivities begin Sept. 22 with a concert by The Funsters and a new 5K run/walk. Day-of registration will begin at 5 p.m. and is $25. Free beer for adult participants will be available at the end of the race, donated by Mispillion River Brewing and NKS Distributors.

The Oktoberfest food court will feature traditional German entrees; Italian, Hispanic and Polish food; and hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries, Polish ice, homemade baked goods and more.

Festivities begin Sept. 23 with arts and crafts booths, helicopter rides, a dessert booth with more than 100 items and live entertainment throughout the day. There will also be inflatables, obstacle courses, bounce houses, a petting zoo and other yard games like cornhole, jumbo Jenga, ladder ball and bocce ball.

Entertainment for Sept. 23 will include German Enzian Dancers, the McAleer School of Irish Dancing, Die Immergrun Musikanten — “The Immergrun Trio” — and the Glass Onion Band.
