Perdue is committing up to one million pounds of product donations to support relief efforts in Florida in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
Perdue is working with Feeding America to earmark food relief to local member food bank partners in Florida. Perdue recently donated one million pounds of products to support Hurricane Harvey relief in Texas.
While Perdue will continue to look for ways to assist those impacted, associates within the company are also stepping up to help. In Chesapeake, Virginia; Lewiston, North Carolina; and Salisbury, Maryland, associates collected items for Harvey victims in partnership with local relief efforts coordinated through Texas City First Assembly Church near Galveston, Texas, and Houston. Associates in Cromwell, Kentucky, also collected supplies and partnered with First United Bank in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, to get those donations to Texas.
