The Bayhealth Chapter of the United Ostomy Association of America Ostomy Support Group will hold its quarterly meeting at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Private Dining Room 3 on level B, at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus, 640 South State St., Dover.

The group will discuss why hernias develop and what options there are for treatment. There will be time for sharing tips, discussion of problems and sharing accomplishments.

The group’s goal is to improve the quality of life for ostomates in the community by addressing skin care, pouching, activity and nutrition issues faced by clients in their everyday lives.

The meeting is open to ostomates, their family and caregivers.
