Summer public program at the Delaware History Museum.
The Underground Railroad Coalition of Delaware will hold its summer public program, “People of Conscience, People of Faith: A Proposed Underground Railroad Trail in Chester and Delaware Counties, Pennsylvania,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Delaware History Museum, 504 W. Market St., Wilmington.
Chester County Planning Commission Heritage Preservation Coordinator Karen Marshall will lead a virtual tour of key Pennsylvania sites important in the fight against American slavery, from Longwood Meeting to Eden Cemetery, the resting place of William Still of the Philadelphia Vigilance Committee.
Refreshments will be available after the program.
