Sussex County Habitat for Humanity will host a free youth financial workshop and a recycled art workshop from 10:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Laurel Public Library, 101 E. Fourth St., made possible by the recently awarded $70,000 Neighborhood Revitalization Grant from Lowe’s.

Coaches from Stand By Me, an organization that strives to empower their clients to make positive financial decisions, will lead the youth through an interactive workshop. Participants will then take advantage of a unique recycled art workshop, creating new pieces out of re-used materials from the Sussex County Habitat ReStore. Parents and children are encouraged to attend this free event.
