Delaware State Police are investigating an incident in which shots were fired at a Lincoln man Sunday morning.

The initial investigation determined the incident occurred at about 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, August 6, as a 39-year-old Lincoln man was inside of his residence in the 20000 block of Jefferson Road. The victim heard a car engine revving and went outside to investigate,l where he saw a red, older-model car, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta, at the end of his driveway. The driver of the car then fired numerous rounds from a handgun in the victim's direction before fleeing northbound on Jefferson Road. The victim was not struck nor injured.

At this time there are no suspects.
