Milford police are looking for a local man in connection with a domestic assault.

Department spokesman Sgt. Robert Masten said officers are looking for 36-year-old Huber R. Velasquez-Rodriguez.

According to police reports, patrol officers were called during the early morning of July 21 to a home in the 300 block of SE Second Street to investigate a domestic quarrel that had turned into a fight, Masten said.

Two children witnessed the alleged attack and one called the police for help, Masten said.

Velasquez-Rodriguez fled before police arrived.
