The Delaware Veterans Coalition updated its website to present current information for and about veterans’ issues and opportunities, according to Coalition President Dave Skocik.

The website offers information on legislation, health, events, employment, training, voter registration and meetings. Visitors can sign up on for free, automatic updates on legislation on the site as apply for membership.

"There are multiple organizations reaching out to veterans, and we're working to put it together at a single source," said Skocik.

The coalition was founded in May 2011 and meets at FOP Lodge 3 at 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of every other month beginning each January. FOP Lodge 3 is at 1584 Kitts Hummock Road, Dover. The next meeting will be July 24.

The Delaware Veterans Coalition is a statewide nonprofit lobbying organization that advocates with elected and appointed public officials on issues that affect all generations of Delaware veterans.

It was tributed by the Delaware Legislature on its fifth anniversary in May 2016. The coalition’s slogan is “Veterans are our only business.” Membership is open to honorably discharged veterans residing in Delaware, and meetings are open to eligible veterans regardless of membership.
