Justin J. Cauley and Kevin M. Carter didn't get too far as they were arrested near the robbery scene

The Delaware State Police, at the request of the Milford Police Department, is investigating a robbery case that resulted in the arrests of men from Milford and Dover.

Division spokesman Sgt. Richard Bratz said the incident took place at about 10 p.m. Saturday, June 17. Troopers and officers from the Harrington  and Georgetown police departments were at the scene of the robbery in the first block of Franklin Street, Milford.

Police learned the victim was sitting in her driveway when two black men came up to her vehicle. One tried to distract the woman as the other pointed a handgun at her and demanded her belongings. The suspects fled with her purse and other belongings.

The woman was not hurt, Bratz said.

Police soon found and arrested two men not far from the robbery scene, he added.

The suspects were identified as Kevin M. Carter, 25, of Milford, and Justin J. Cauley, 26, of Dover.

Both are charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy and aggravated menacing. Carter was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $25,000 secured bond while bond information on Cauley is pending.
