Samlie Irvin Jr. is suspected in the theft of more than $2,300 worth of cologne

Detectives with the Delaware State Police have identified a suspected shoplifter as Samlie Irvin Jr., 50, of Milford.

Irvin was photographed during times when more than $2,300 worth of cologne was taken from two Wilmington Walgreens stores and one in Dover, Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said.

He also is wanted for one shoplifting attempt at a Magnolia Walgreens.

All of the cases took place in late March.

Irvin will be charged with two counts of possession of shoplifting tools, criminal mischief, shoplifting and attempted shoplifting. He also is wanted out of Kent County Superior Court on a capias.

The incidents occurred at the locations shown when he allegedly entered the stores and took assorted colognes after defeating the locked display cases with an unknown type of tool. Irvin left each business without paying.

- March 25, Walgreens at 3301 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington

- March 27, Walgreens at 4201 Concord Pike, Wilmington

- March29, Walgreens at 5506 S. Dupont Highway, Dover

Irvin is suspected in a March 29 shoplifting attempt at the Walgreens store at 52 W. Birdie Lane, Magnolia.
