The Delaware Department of Transportation announced that Delmarva Central Railroad will replace and perform general maintenance on their railroad crossing at U.S. Route 113/DuPont Highway between state Route 14/Milford-Harrington Highway and Kings Highway in Milford.

The railroad crossing will be closed at 10 p.m. May 4 until midnight May 19, but could be delayed due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Local detours are:

— Southbound utilizing U.S. Route 113/Frontage Road onto North Walnut Street to North Rehoboth Boulevard/Cedar Creek Road to Wilkins Road to Johnson Road and return to U.S. Route 113.

— Northbound utilizing U.S. Route 113 to Johnson Road onto Wilkins Road to Cedar Creek Road/South Rehoboth Boulevard to Northeast Front Street and back to U.S. Route 113.

— Eastbound utilizing state Route 14/Milford-Harrington Highway to Northwest Front Street to North Rehoboth Boulevard/Cedar Creek Road to Wilkins Road to Johnson Road and back to U.S. Route 113.

Regional truck detours — U.S. Route 113 to/from Georgetown — are:

— Southbound state Route 1/ Bay Road to state Route 30 off-ramp to Wilkins Road onto Johnson Road and return to U.S. Route 113.

— Northbound: U.S. Route 113 to Johnson Road to Wilkins Road to state Route 30 to state Route 1/Bay Road north to the Thompsonville interchange and loop onto state Route 1 southbound and continue south on U.S. Route 113 to state Route 14 westbound. Through trucks will be prohibited from making a left onto westbound state Route 14/Northeast Front Street from state Route 1 northbound.
