The Delaware State Fair has announced its Summer Concert Series lineup for 2017. It includes 15 of the hottest music artists around, two wheeled events, a comedian, a rodeo and the traditional Harness Racing at the Fair.

Returning in 2017 for its second year will be the Delaware State Fair Kick-off Concert. Throwback country music singer Jon Pardi with Chris Lane will make their way to the M&T Bank Grandstand on Wednesday, July 19 at 7:30 p.m. Jon Pardi, known for his working-man spirit and traditional style of country music will be the perfect kick-off to the 10-Day Fair in Harrington. This Kick-off Concert will mean that Gate Admission will not be required, but also no Fair basics will be in place including; carnival rides, livestock animals, circus performances, etc. Limited food vendors will be open. Tickets are $31-66.

Delaware State Fair’s General Manager Bill DiMondi explained, “We are excited to offer another kick-off concert this year. This concert-only evening at the Fairgrounds was very well-received in 2016 and we hope fans will return to enjoy Jon Pardi’s kick-off concert performance here in Harrington as they prepare for Thursday’s start of the 98 Delaware State Fair.”

The 2017 Summer Concert Series continues with the return of the Painted Pony PRCA Rodeo to the M&T Bank Grandstand on Thursday, July 20. The Painted Pony PRCA Rodeo will bring the best Cowboys and Cowgirls around for some roping, riding, and racing. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are just $10 each. Come enjoy the fast-paced agility and athleticism on display as these men and women compete at the 2017 Painted Pony PRCA Rodeo.

The first Friday of the Fair will showcase the Monster Truck Meltdown presented by Delaware Volunteer Firefighter’s Association on Friday, July 21at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18-20. The show will include nationally recognized monster trucks, a ride truck and a tough truck challenge. Along with the event, there will be a Pit Party where fans can come meet the drivers, take a picture with the trucks and more. Tickets for the Pit Party will be made available closer to Fair and details will be posted online at www.delawarestatefair.com.

The Craft Beer Festival has moved to the first Saturday of the Fair, July 22. Join us once again for an evening of enjoyable entertainment, a relaxed atmosphere and some delectable brews at our Craft Beer Festival featuring Rock of the 70s welcomed by Cool 101.3 and 97.1 The Wave. Bands will include Foghat, Atlanta Rhythm Section (ARS), Pure Prairie League, Pat Travers Band and Rare Earth. This lineup gathers Grammy-Award winning artists with over 20 top ten hits for one night only at the M&T Bank Grandstand. With hits like “Slow Ride” “So Into You” “Amie” and “I Just Want To Celebrate” fans are sure to relive life’s best moments. The Craft Beer Tasting will feature over 50 varieties of beer for Craft Beer Ticket holders to choose from. Music Only Tickets are $35. Craft Beer Tickets are $45. Craft Beer Ticket holders will receive access to the concert, a souvenir cup, and five beer tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets will be $2 each. Craft Beer Ticket holders must be 21 years or older. Gates will open and Craft Beer Tasting will begin at 6 p.m., the show will start at 6:30 p.m., last call will be at 8:15 p.m., with a fireworks display presented by M&T Bank will begin at approximately 9 p.m.

With great anticipation the Delaware State Fair is excited to announce on Sunday, July 23  Froggy 99.9 and 94.7 WDSD will welcome Darius Rucker. Known for his southern style and hits like “Wagon Wheel” “Homegrown Honey” and “Alright,” Rucker is sure to bring a night of remarkable performances and some of the best country music for all to remember. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m., the show will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $44-84.

Monday, July 24 will bring laughter and fun to the Fair as one of America’s most successful stand-up comedians, Gabriel Iglesias, also known as “FLUFFY,” celebrates 20 years of comedy. Performing to sold-out concerts around the world, and being one of the few comedians to headline and sellout Madison Square Garden in New York, Gabriel Iglesias has made his mark on the comedy business over the last 20 years. Tickets are $32-42. Gates will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m.

With 22.5 million albums sold, 28 million digital downloads, 16 number one singles, the multi-platinum and global superstar trio Rascal Flatts headlines the M&T Bank Grandstand, Tuesday, July 25. You’ll get to hear all the hits including “These Days” “Bless the Broken Road” “What Hurts the Most” “My Wish” and their newest release “Yours If You Want It.” Fans can enter the gates at 6:30 p.m. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $54-89.

Christian chart-topping artist Crowder takes to the M&T Bank Grandstand Stage with Big Daddy Weave, Wednesday, July 26 presented by 88.7 the Bridge. Join us for an evening of fun and worship like never before with songs like “Come As You Are” and “Redeemed.” Tickets are $25-50. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will start at 7:30 p.m.

Harrington Raceway & Casino presents Harness Racing on Thursday, July 27 at 7 p.m. Come watch harness racing at no charge and celebrate Governor’s Day at the Fair.

On Friday, July 28 the M&T Bank Grandstand is the place to see all your car smashing fun at the Demolition Derby presented by Manlove Auto Parts. Last year’s event brought a packed grandstand of hootin’ hollerin’ clappin’ fans. This year we welcome fans and their families and friends to return for all the excitement and more. Get ready “BG Nation” the man is back. Brantley Gilbert returns with Luke Combs to the M&T Bank Grandstand on Saturday, July 29. The two will bring their strong southern roots to Harrington for an evening of unforgettable country music and a little southern rock on the last night of the 2017 Delaware State Fair. With knockout songs like “Bottoms Up” “One Hell of An Amen” and the 2017 release of “The Weekend” Gilbert will once again make his mark on the 2017 Delaware State Fair. Tickets are $44-84. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m. and a Fireworks display presented by M&T Bank will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.
