Brittany Davis first allegedly was released after giving Ellendale police a false name
Police in Sussex County have arrested a Dover woman after she allegedly tricked authorities into releasing her following an earlier arrest.
Brittany A. Davis, 28, initially was arrested Jan. 5 by Ellendale police on 13 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal trespass and conspiracy, said Chief of Police Bruce E. Von Goerres. However, she gave a false name and was released on an unsecured bond.
Ellendale officers later learned her true identity after a fingerprint check.
An anonymous tip led Bridgeville police to Davis, and she was taken into custody on Friday, Jan. 13, Von Goerres said. Ellendale police booked her on six counts of second-degree forgery, third-degree conspiracy, criminal impersonation and driving on a suspended license.
This time she was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a secured bond, he said.
