The Diego Rivera Chapter of the Spanish National Honor Society at Milford High School held its 2008 induction ceremony on Nov. 17.

Seniors inducted that night were: Sharleen Crespo-Perez, Rachel Dunn, Colleen Farrell, Becky Godwin, Hope Gorney, Brooke Hoffman, Jimmy Ibach, Megan Jones, Kelsey Kohel, Jessica Lear, Alexandra Mallard, Rose Murphy, Heather Payne, Zach Prettyman, Christian Ramos, Katya Rivera, Alexa Sapp, Caitlan Schanne, Camille Sennett, Beth Swadley, Raisa Vargas and Jessica Whatt

Juniors inducted that night were: Rossiny Beaucejour, Chad Dickerson, Courtney Enfield, Erik Gibbs, Taneisha Hinton, Sarah Kolobielski, Jordan Lane, Zach Lynch, Abigayle Marks, Robert McBroom, T.J. Millman, Meir Morales, Nikki Parsley, Brittany Phillips, Isreal Rios, Elias Rivera, Giovanna Tamez, Chelsey Webb and Darci Welch.

The purpose of the Spanish National Honor Society is to recognize achievement of high school students in the Spanish and Portuguese languages, and to promote continuing interest in Hispanic and Portuguese studies.

Kira Robinson is the chapter’s president, while Anna Sandoval is vice president. Jordan Reed serves as secretary, and Jordan Fitzgerald is the treasurer. Ashley Miller is public relations, while Sam Pate, Natasha Rexrode and Sarah Winckoski are all returning members.
