Annual Community Day

Workshop focuses on Bathsheba

2009 John W. Cooper Memorial Bike Ride

The community Pentecostal Church of God will be hosting the 2009 John W. Cooper Memorial Bike Ride at 10 a.m. on June 20. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the church parking lot, the six mile course will take riders through Houston. The church is located at 5033 Gun & Rod club Rd., Houston.

Faith of Flowers at UUCD

Upcoming Events at Freedom Worship Center

The 2nd Annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes Heart and Soul 5K Run/Walk will be held starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 6. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the Kiddie K starts at 8:55 a.m. The event will be held at Lake Forest High School, located at 5407 Killens Pond Road (route 384), Felton. The 5K run and walk will start at the high school and go through Killens Pond State Park before returning to Lake Forest High School. Registration is $20. Angel Food Ministry Order and Distribution for June


The deadline for mail in and in person food orders from the Angel Food Ministry will be from 9 a.m. to noon and 3 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 8, and from 3 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, at the church library, Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St., Milford. Online orders will be taken until Sunday, June 14. Food will be distributed from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27.

Bible study at Bible Fellowship Church


The Bible Fellowship Church will hold an eight week Bible study titled “Jesus: Who, What, When” from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays through July 1 at Hearthstone Manor Community Center. The Rev. David Gundrum, executive director of Church Extension Ministries for the Bible Fellowship Church and adjunct professor of theology at Philadelphia Biblical University will proctor the study. Camp EDGE: Experience plus Discover God Everywhere


Calvary United Methodist Church invites all children to go to the edge this summer for Vacation Bible School. Camp Edge is an extreme adventure camp taking kids on Bible treks to experience and discover God everywhere, everyday. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes leadership development group meets 7 p.m. every Wednesday evening.

Services at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist


Each Sunday, the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 307 Federal St., Milton, holds Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and Eucharistic worship service at 10 a.m. followed by coffee hour. Food Pantry & Clothing Closet

A food pantry and clothing closet will be open from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at 501 N. Walnut St. across from our church. Must have a social security card and a photo ID to be served.

At 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 21, there will be a Father’s Day celebration. Giveaways include gift certificates to local restaurants, a brand new skill saw, and other cool prizes.

Eunice Wright to perform at Milford Senior Center


Eunice Wright will perform a gospel concert entitled “Wait on Me” at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 13 at the Milford Senior Center. The concert will also include musical guests The Booker street Ensemble, Donald Ashley and the Millenium, as well as Danton Whitley and Mosaic Sounds.
