Winnebago County States Attorney Joe Bruscato spoke about elder abuse, warning signs, how people are prosecuted, Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Morning Star Village.

He spoke to the Admission and Discharge Planners Marketing Ideas Together group. This group meets monthly and is made up of health care professionals from home health agencies, long term care communities, hospice organizations, assisted living communities and more.

ADMIT was founded in October 1997, by Shirley G. Sievers, who is currently a Geriatric Care Manager in Rockford. At the time she founded the group, she was working in health care and found it difficult to get information from various organizations. Thus ADMIT was born, mainly to encourage the exchange of ideas and information in a non-competitive environment.
