The DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife's Artificial Reef Program will oversee the sinking of 44 former New York City subway cars to become part of Delaware's largest artificial reef, Red Bird Reef, located 16 miles off the coast of Indian River Inlet. The vessel will leave from the Delaware Bay Launch Services site in Slaughter Beach at 7:30 a.m. sharp.
