Hundreds of people came downtown for back-to-back holiday festivals this weeked --- Downtown Milford Inc.'s Holiday Stroll and People's Place's People's Day. Rainy weather did its best to dampen Saturday's festivities, but even a city-wide blackout couldn't keep the celebration down.
Restaurants and community members from across Milford came out for a night of good food and tense auctions to support People's Place on Thursday night, at the Chamber of Commerce's annual Tastes of Milford gala and auction.
Dozens of floats, fire trucks, marching bands and costumed processions marked the Milford Community Parade on Wednesday night. Thousands of people crowded Walnut Street from Sabury Avenue north to Milford High School for the annual tradition.

The Mispillion Kennel Club, Inc., member, American Kennel Club, has released its schedule of fall dog training classes to be held at the old Milford Boys & Girls Club at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evenings beginning on Sept. 23, with conformation and agility to be held at its Georgetown location.
