Harrington police used Taser stun weapons to stop a Greenwood man when he fought them during an arrest March 4.
The incident took place on Wolcott Street in Harrington, said spokesman Cpl. Earl K. Brode of the
Harrington Police Department. Harrington and Felton officers responded to a call of a fight in progress and arrived to find the suspect, identified as Aaron L. Wyatt, 29, of 580 Greenwood Road, had allegedly assaulted four people inside a house and refused to let them leave, Brode said. Wyatt fought officers who tried to take him into custody, but Brode said he was subdued shortly after police used the Taser.
While being placed in a patrol car, he said Wyatt continued to fight and spit on two officers.
Wyatt was first treated for a head injury at Milford Memorial Hospital, then arraigned on charges of assault, offensive touching of a law enforcement officer, unlawful imprisonment, offensive touching, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
He was jailed in default of a $9,000 cash bond.
Three persons involved in the fight also were treated for minor injuries at Milford Memorial.
