Beebe Medical Found-ation has named Lewes cardiologist Dr. R. Alberto Rosa honorary chair of the 20th annual Best of the Beach Art Auction Dinner & Dance. The event will be held Saturday, June 13 on the grounds of the Beebe Health Campus, Route 24, Rehoboth Beach.
Rosa, a board certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist and chief of the Cardiology Depart-ment at Beebe Medical Center, has worked for more than 11 years to help those who suffer from heart disease.
A native of the Dominican Republic, he earned his medical degree at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, at the time in affiliation with the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of Cardiology Consultants in Lewes, and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Proceeds from the 2009 Best of the Beach Art Auction will benefit Beebe Medical Center’s Cardio-vascular Institute, supporting heart health in Sussex County and The Rehoboth Art League.
