The 12th annual Kids Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, June 13, at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harring-ton. For more information, call event coordinator Linda Chick at 398-5194 or 242-0275, or visit www.kidsfestde.org.
Admission
There is no admission for children, and adult admission is $3. Ride and game tickets cost 25 for $5. Parking is free. Proceeds from Kids’ Fest benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware.
Schedule of events
10 a.m., The Teen Idol Contest, highlighting young performers. Contest registration is still open.
From 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., the Amazing Mr. Fischer will perform his juggling and balancing act throughout the grounds.
1 p.m., Mark Lohr will bring comedy and juggling to the center stage.
2 p.m., The ethnically inspired Sankofa Dancers & Drummers will perform.
3 p.m., karaoke featuring a kids “open mic” session.
Throughout the day
From 11:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., the “Happily Ever After” ice show will take place at The Centre Ice Rick. Tickets are available at the rink. For more information, call 398-5900.
Children can enjoy the Inflatable Fair’s bounces and slides; visit the Healthy Kids Expo featuring information and hands-on activities; take pony, wagon and little train rides; and take part in arts, crafts and other activities.
