  • A 31-year-old Seaford man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Harrington revealed more than 200 grams of marijuana.
Eric L. Davis was stopped on South Dupont Highway in the area of Porter Street at 9:36 a.m. Aug. 22 for a traffic violation, said Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
During the stop, a license check revealed that Davis was wanted by the Delaware State Police on charges from a November 2013 vehicle pursuit and Sussex County Superior Court for violation of probation. Davis also had a suspended driver’s license, Brode said.
Davis was arrested without incident. A vehicle search revealed 208 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Brode said.
Davis was taken to the Harrington Police Department and is charged with possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 1 quantity, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended or revoked license and failing to signal turn.
Davis also is facing charges including burglary, disregarding a police officer signal, resisting arrest and numerous drug and traffic charges from Delaware State Police.
He was arraigned for all warrants and charges and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $96,489 cash-only bond.
