  • The Milford Lions Club will begin a free sight screening program this fall, after school resumes.
The Lions Club Sight Screening Committee uses a PlusOptix S12 Vision Screener that quickly and accurately tests the eyes of children from six months to six years old. The screener can detect issues including far- and near-sightedness, lazy eye, misaligned eyes and other eye disorders.
Vision problems can be detected with the PlusOptix in less than five minutes.
The Lions Club Sight Screening Committee will be at local community schools, day care centers, private schools and various community services. Parents must complete and sign a consent form for each child to be screened.
After the screening, a program coordinator will assist in assuring proper care follow up.
