  • A 55-year-old Houston woman was jailed following a shoplifting incident at Redner’s Warehouse Markets in Georgetown.
Robin Sorden was arrested shortly before 1 p.m. on Aug. 5 after police responded to the grocery store, according to Georgetown Police Department spokesman Lt. Lawrence Grose.
Store employees reported that they saw Sorden place items in her purse and attempt to leave the store without paying for the items, Grose said.
A computer check revealed that Sorden was also wanted by the Felton Police Department for shoplifting, as well as Kent County Family Court, Sussex County Court of Common Pleas and Kent County Court of Commons Pleas.
Sorden is charged with shoplifting for the incident at Redner’s and shoplifting and conspiracy for the warrant from the Felton Police Department.
She was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $25,000 combined cash bond for the shoplifting charges and active warrants.
