A 34-year-old Harrington man is facing drug and terroristic threatening charges after police responded to a possible drug overdose on Aug. 6.
Steven R. Huey was allegedly under the influence of drugs when officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Liberty Street, according to Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
Police contacted the person who reported the possible overdose as well as Huey and learned that Huey had left the residence to purchase heroin and returned under the influence, Brode said.
Police also determined that Huey was involved in an altercation with the reporting person and threated to crash his car into the house, Brode said.
Brode said a search of Huey’s vehicle uncovered drug paraphernalia.
Huey was arrested, taken to the Harrington Police Department and arraigned. He is charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of terroristic threatening. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $2,000 secured bail.
