  • A 21-year-old Milford woman is in critical condition after a single-car crash west of Lewes early Friday morning.
Abigail K. Cellini was initially taken to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes and later flown to Christiana Hospital following the crash on Fisher Road about 2:05 a.m., according to Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier.
Cellini was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Aveo west on Fisher Road, just east of Hopkins Road, when the car left the north side of the road and struck a utility pole on the driver’s side, Fournier said.
Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation, he said.
Fisher Road, east of Hopkins Road, was closed for about two hours while utility crews repaired the damaged pole.
