  • A 23-year-old Felton man is in jail and facing a second-degree rape charge.
Jeramy A. Blair was arrested by Harrington police on July 13 following a police investigation regarding a sexual assault, according to Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
Officers were initially contacted by the family of a 14-year-old girl, who reported that the girl was sexually assaulted at a residence on North Street in Harrington, Brode said.
Brode said a police investigation revealed that Blair and the girl were together at the residence when Blair sexually assaulted the 14-year-old.
Officers were unable to locate Blair, but he later turned himself in to the Harrington Police Department.
Blair is charged with second-degree rape. He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $10,000 secured bond.
