  • Raid in Milford uncovers drugs, weapons, cash

  • Two men, one from Milford and one from Greenville, N.C., are facing a slew of charges after a two-day drug investigation uncovered more than 12 pounds of marijuana, two ounces of cocaine, weapons and suspected drug money.
    Darrin E. Johnson, 46, of Milford, and Bobby Eric Jackson, 43, of Greenville, N.C., were arrested and charged after search warrants were executed at a residence and vehicles on Marshall Street in Milford, said Milford Police Department spokesman Detective Dwight Young.
    The Milford Police Department’s Drugs and Narcotics Division was assisted by the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit, Dover Police Department, DEA agents and the Delaware State Police S.O.R.T. team during the investigation and arrests. During the searches, detectives seized two vehicles, more than $4,400 in cash, two handguns and ammunition in addition to drugs and paraphernalia, Young said.
    Johnson is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession with intent to deliver, possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia.
    Johnson was arraigned and released on a $42,000 unsecured bond.
    Jackson is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with the intent to deliver.
    Jackson was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $176,000 secured bond.
