  • The Milford Central Academy is one of four Delaware schools that will serve as a demonstration site for Common Core State Standards.
The Vision Network of Delaware has selected three of the four schools so far, with Appoquinimink School District’s Cedar Lane Elementary School and Positive Outcomes Charter School in Camden joining Milford.
These schools will serve educators throughout the state in the coming years as a place to study the workings of research-based supports designed to ensure students meet the challenges of Common Core State Standards.
“Every student deserves to experience a world-class education,” said Dana Diesel Wallace, executive director of the Vision Network of Delaware. “With this vision, we believe these demonstration schools will establish a standard of quality for Common Core-aligned instruction that is relevant, sustainable and replicable.
