  • A 33-year-old Dover woman was arrested on May 27 after allegedly resisting arrest and failing to pay a hotel room bill.
Harrington police responded to the Super 8 Hotel in the 17000 block of South Dupont Highway in Harrington around 1:30 p.m. on May 27 for a report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a hotel room, according to Harrington Police Department Lt. Earl Brode.
When officers arrived at the hotel, they contacted 33-year-old Fallon L. Bays, of Dover, who became disorderly during questioning, Brode said.
Bays allegedly fought with officers when police tried to take her into custody. After a short struggle, she was arrested and transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing, Brode said.
Police determined Bays failed to pay the hotel for renting a room. She was charged with theft under $1,500, resisting arrest, first-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Bays was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $3,500 secured bond, Brode said.
