Two Harrington men were arrested and charged with shoplifting after allegedly taking items from Downtown Junction in Harrington.
Police responded to Downtown Junction, located in the first block of Commerce Street, around 4 p.m. on May 28 for a shoplifting complaint, according to Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
Brode said officers reviewed the surveillance video from the store and identified 21-year-old Mightys E. Gibbs and 20-year-old Levi D. Collins, both of Harrington, as the suspects.
Officers searched the area, located Gibbs and Collins and took them into custody without incident, Brode said.
At the police department, officers searched Gibbs and located a hypodermic needle used for injecting narcotics, Brode said.
Gibbs was charged with shoplifting, third-degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Collins was charged with shoplifting and third-degree conspiracy.
Both were issued criminal summons and released pending future court appearances.
