  • A 32-year-old Milford man was charged with third-degree assault and terroristic threatening after a domestic dispute turned violent in Milford.
A 36-year-old woman went to the Milford Police Department on April 26 to report that she had been assaulted during a dispute with 32-year-old Jose Serrano, said Milford Police Department spokesman Detective Dwight Young.
A police investigation revealed that the female victim and Serrano were engaged in a verbal dispute outside the residence when Serrano grabbed the victim by her neck and threw her to the ground, Young said.
Serrano then slapped the victim and threatened to kill her, Young said.
The woman fled from Serrano and reported the incident at the Milford Police Department. She suffered minor injuries, but refused medical treatment, Young said.
After the incident was reported, Serrano also went to the Milford Police Department where he was arrested, Young said.
Serrano was charged with third-degree assault and terroristic threatening.
He was arraigned and released on a $2,000 unsecured bond.
