A 21-year-old Milford man, who was wanted in connection with a shooting in Milford earlier this month, was arrested and jailed on April 19.
Jhavon R. Goode was initially taken into custody by Delaware State Police for a traffic violation in Georgetown and then handed over to the Milford Police Department, said Milford Police Department spokesman Detective Dwight Young.
Milford police had obtained warrants for Goode's arrest in connection with a police investigation regarding a shooting incident at a residence in the 100 block of Montgomery Street on April 9 that left a 33-year-old victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Christiana Medical Center for treatment, where he was listed in stable condition. No updates were available on the victim's current condition, Young said.
Goode was charged with first-degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly firearm and second-degree conspiracy.
He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $132,000 cash bond.
