Milford police arrested 26-year-old James Alton, Jr., Milford, and 27-year-old Michael A. Selner, Felton, on April 13 after finding them in possession of stolen property, according to police.
A 26-year-old Milford man and a 27-year-old Felton man were arrested by Milford police April 13 after police found them in possession of stolen property.
Milford police responded to the 400 block of Kings Highway on April 13 after receiving a report of two suspicious people walking through residents’ yards, said Milford Police Department spokesman Detective Dwight Young.
Young said police contacted the two suspects, Milford resident James Alton, Jr., and Felton resident Michael A. Selner, and an investigation revealed that the two suspects allegedly entered a 62-year-old victim’s vehicle and removed items from it.
Alton and Selner were in possession of the stolen property when they were taken into custody by police, Young said.
Both Alton and Selner were charged with third-degree burlary, thefts under $1,500 with a victim who is 62 years or older and second-degree conspiracy. Both suspects were arraigned and Alton was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond while Selner was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $1,000 secured bond.
