  • The Milford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in providing information regarding two shootings that occurred in the Milford area on April 4 and April 9.
    On April 4, police responded to Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital after receiving a report of a gunshot victim, said Milford Police Department spokesman Detective Dwight Young.
    The 20-year-old male victim initially told police he had shot himself accidentally, but then said he was shot by an unknown person on Montgomery Street. He was treated and released, Young said.
    On April 9, police responded to Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital after receiving a report of another gunshot victim, Young said.
    The 33-year-old male victim, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was transported to Christiana Care Hospital and is listed in stable condition. No additional details were available regarding this incident, Young said.
    It is unknown if the two incidents are related, and police continue to investigate both shootings, Young said.
