  • Registration for all spring and summer programs for Milford Parks and Recreation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon March 15 at the building, 207 Franklin St.

  • Registration for all spring and summer programs for Milford Parks and Recreation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon March 15 at the building, 207 Franklin St.
    Spring programs include:
    Soccer: boys and girls in kindergarten- second-sixth graders are welcome to register. Skills and drills begin March 22-23 and games will begin in April; $40 per child.
    Swim lessons: Classes will be held Tuesday and Thursdays in April or Wednesday and Thursdays in May for boys and girls three years old; $40.
    Tennis lessons: Youth eight and under lessons are held April 29-June 3 and nine year-olds to adults are from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, May 1-June 5 at Milford High School, 1019 N. Walnut St., Milford; $45.
    Egg hunt, 1 p.m. April 12 behind Carlisle Fire Company, 615 NW Front St., Milford. The free event will be for ages 3-8; rain date will be at 1 p.m. April 13.
    Spring break trip to the National Zoo, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 23; $15 per person for the bus; free admission to the zoo.
    Major League Baseball's Pitch,  Hit and Run Contest will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon May 4 at Marvel Square Park. Boys and girls compete separately in four age groups. This is a free event.
    Delmarva bus tours: Lunch at Atlantic Hotel, Berlin, Md.; lunch and paddle wheel boat tour leaving Suicide Bridge Restaurant, Hurlock, Md.; lunch at the Crab Claw followed by a scenic river cruise, St. Michaels, Md. Dates and times will be announced soon; $50 per trip. The deadline to register is April 25. All tours will be held mid-week between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    Mispillion River and Riverwalk Clean-up Day at 9 a.m. April 12 in Bicentennial Park, N.E. Front St., Milford. Rubber gloves and trash bags will be provided.
    Spring Flower Sales and Chicken BBQ- Guests can stop by at 11 a.m.. April 18 for the cook-out and at 9 a.m. April 19 for the flower sales at the Old Grow Mark Building, 308 NE Front St., Milford.
    If you are not able to register by March 15, you may start March 17 during regular business hours.
