  • A 26-year-old Milford man, identified as Jemel Burch, was arrested for third-degree assault after allegedly injuring a victim during an argument in the first block of New Street in Harrington.

  • A 26-year-old Milford man was arrested for third-degree assault after allegedly injuring a victim during an argument in the first block of New Street in Harrington.
    Harrington police responded to Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital on Feb. 23 after receiving an assault complaint. Officers contacted the victim and determined that victim and the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Jemel Burch, were involved in an altercation at a residence in the first block of New Street, according to police spokesman Lt. Earl K. Brode.
    Officers also determined that Burch assaulted the victim, causing minor injuries, Brode said.
    A warrant was obtained for Burch’s arrest, but he turned himself in to police on Feb. 24.
    Burch was charged with third-degree assault and arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2. He was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
