  • Local Special Olympics athletes and their unified partners will compete in the annual bowling tournament at Milford Bowl in Milford from 10:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
This year's tournament, one of five to be held across the state this week, will feature students from the Milford School District. Events will include singles, doubles, unified doubles, bumper and ramp bowling.
“Bowling is one of our most popular sports in schools,” said Gary Cimaglia, Special Olympics Delaware senior director of sports in a press release. “One of the neatest things about our athletes participating in bowling is that they can then transfer what they learn when they have opportunities to bowl with friends and family outside of the school day.”
