  • The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) recently announced that the next ¡VIDA!™ Multicultural Breast Health Forum will be held at the Multicultural Church and Community Center in Milford on March 29.
    The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Multicultural Community Center, located at 105 N.E. Front St. in Milford.
    The forum is a multicultural event focused on breast cancer screening, treatment and survivorship, and began in 2011 as a bilingual educational event.
    The event will also feature free health screenings, information about breast health and vendors form various nonprofit, health, business and media organizations. The forum will also provide free screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes testing, clinical breast exams and information on obesity and surgical weight loss.
    A kid’s corner will also feature children’s activities and a puppet show.
    Pre-registration for the event is not required, but interested participants must register for a mammogram by calling (888) 672-9647.
    Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and goody bags will be available for the first 200 participants. Food and door prizes will also be available throughout the event.
