  • Milford Police officers arrested a Dover man Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly threatened two people with a knife.
Officers responded to a residence located on the 200 block of North St. after receiving reports of a man, identified as Roger O. Scarborough, 57 of Dover, armed with a weapon and threatening residents, said Det. Dwight Young, spokesman for the Milford Police Department.
An investigation revealed that Scarborough was in a verbal dispute with a 29-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man, when he retrieved a large knife and threatened to kill both victims, Young said. The knife was located and recovered by officers, and Scarborough was taken into custody without incident.
Scarborough was charged with two counts of aggravated menacing, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited and two counts of terroristic threatening. He was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $34,000 secured bond.
