  • A 19-year-old Harrington man was arrested two days after a burglary complaint in the first block of Ward Street in Harrington.
    The Harrington Police Department arrested 19-year-old Darius Sarro on Jan. 14 following a police investigation regarding a burglary complaint received Jan. 12.
    A police investigation revealed that a suspect forced entry into a residence in the first block of Ward Street and then stole items. Police identified Sarro as the suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest, said police spokesman Lt. Earl K. Brode.
    Sarro turned himself into the Harrington Police Department on Jan. 14.
    Sarro was charged with second-degree burglary, theft under $1,500, first-degree criminal trespass and criminal mischief under $1,000.
    He was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $6,500 unsecured bond.
