  • United Way of Delaware has donated more than $38,000 for utility and shelter assistance through its "Delaware Does More" initiative.
"Delaware Does More" is a collaborative effort led by United Way of Delaware and supported by several organizations, businesses and the general community. Participating organizations funded thus far include First State Community Action Agency, Catholic Charities, Lutheran Community Services, Latin American Community Center, Sussex Community Crisis Housing, and the Salvation Army, with others to come.
The program will run through March 1 if anyone would like to donate. Donations will be used to provide emergency shelter and heat for Delawareans in need this winter. There will be no administrative fee associated with donations to “Delaware Does More.”
