  • The Harrington Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred Jan. 9 at the Valero Shore Stop Express in the 17000 block of South Dupont Highway.
    Officers responded to the store at approximately 12:30 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery and an investigation revealed that a white man entered the store, pulled a handgun on a store employee and demanded money, said Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
    The suspect fled from the east side of the building toward South Dupont Highway, and then fled in an unknown direction, Brode said.
    The suspect is described as a white man, between 5-foot 10-inches and 6-foot 2-inches in height and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds, Brode said. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a navy-blue hooded sweatshirt, a black ski hat and brown shoes during the incident.
