  • Two arrested, one sought in vehicle theft

  • Three Seaford residents were recently identified as suspects in the Dec. 2 theft of a bucket truck in Harrington.
    An initial investigation revealed that suspects broke entered a property in the 300 block of Walt Messick Road and removed a bucket truck from the premises. The truck was later recovered at a salvage yard in Georgetown and returned to its owner.
    Further investigation identified Seaford residents 27-year-old Ebonie P. Davis, 33-year-old Jerry L. Cornish and 44-year-old Christopher Cornish as suspects and police obtained warrants for their arrests, said Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
    Davis turned herself in to the Harrington Police Department on Dec. 11 and was charged with theft by false pretense over $1,500 and receiving stolen property over $1,500. She was processed and arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $2,000 unsecured bond.
    Jerry L. Cornish turned himself in on Dec. 16 and was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, theft by false pretense, second-degree conspiracy and trespassing. He was released on $3,750 unsecured bond.
    The Harrington Police Department is still searching for Christopher Cornish for theft of a motor vehicle, theft by false pretense, second-degree conspiracy and trespassing.
