Two local Milfordians traveled to Washington D.C. this past weekend to pay tribute to Pearl Harbor Day and their service in World War II.

The Friends of the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C., gathered on Saturday to pay tribute to Pearl Harbor Day, inviting WWII veterans, like Milford residents and WWII veterans Doug Gibson and Mike Mignogno, to lay wreaths in recognition of the United States, National Park Service, Friends of the National WWII Memorial, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Merchant Marines.
